Cousins At Play

Debi had the pleasure of watching both of her grandkids a few days last week. When I got home from work I got to sit and play with them for a bit. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a couple of pictures in action. They are just trying to figure each other out.

Here comes Baylor crawling like he is ready to pounce.....

Then just stares....looks like Brooklyn will live to see another day.

Nativity

Brian, Brooklyn, and I got to participate in a live nativity for our stake. They asked us to be Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. When they asked us to do it we didn't know how big of a deal it was. Around 20,000 people come over a four day period. We were just in it for a few hours one of those nights. It is pretty extravagant with wise men, an inn keeper, a juggler, sheep herders, women at a well, vegetable sellers, potters, and bread sellers. They also had real animals like camels, sheep, goats, and chickens. And yes, those are chickens by our heads. They stuck around us the whole night. Probably because it was nice and toasty with the heated manger right by us.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we had the opportunity to go to Idaho Falls to see Brian's grandpa Alvey and great grandma Young, who is the ripe old age of 98. This is Brian with his mom, Debi, and his grandpa Alvey (Debi's Dad) and Brooklyn.

We went to rehabilitation center to see Brooklyn's great great grandma Young. How many people can say they have a picture with a great great grandparent? It was an amazing experience to sit and talk with her. She is still very with it and can tell you plenty of stories. She thought it was pretty neat that Brooklyn and her both have birthdays in September.

This is Brooklyn in her first thanksgiving outfit.

Brian and Trevor got talking with Dar, Kathy's husband, and grandpa Alvey about finances.

Brooklyn's Blessing

Brooklyn was blessed on November 22nd. She did so good she did not even cry once during the blessing. I was so worried about that as I suppose a lot of other mothers are as well, but her blessing turned out to be perfect. Brian did such a good job! We invited some family and friends over for brunch afterwards and these are some of the pictures from it. This is Brooklyn in her car seat that she fell asleep in during Sacrament meeting. Her dress was crocheted by her great grandma Smith and her blanket was made by my friend Lauren.
